43’ Silverton Sport Bridge Model
Silverton had a reputation for rakish styling before they went out of business early in 2012, and the 43 Sport Bridge remains one of the company’s more distinctive designs. With her generous beam and spacious, full-width salon, this is a big 43-footer with more interior space than most other boats in her class. (The downside, however, is a decidedly slab-sided appearance, the result of raising the side decks above the cabin windows to obtain that full-beam interior.)
Her vast salon, with its cherrywood joinery, facing leather settees and sculptured overhead panels, has a large, U-shaped galley forward, opposite an elevated dinette with circular seating for five. Below, the forward master stateroom features a queen island berth, while the guest stateroom, aft and to starboard, has twin single berths. Note the divided master stateroom head and retractable salon TV. Cockpit steps lead up the 43’s vast flybridge complete with wet bar, sun pad, lounge seating, and direct bow access. Twin 425hp gas engines cruise the 43 Sport Bridge at 16 knots. Volvo 480hp inboard diesels cruise at 20 knots, and Volvo 370hp diesels with IPS drives—standard after 2007—cruise efficiently at 20–22 knots (about 28 top).

How does a boat builder grow from building sea skiffs in a small town to a full line of Convertible, Motor Yacht, and Sport Bridge models that are prized by boaters around the world? How does it maintain consistency with a tradition of craftsmanship and product quality year after year? And how has it elevated its product image from that of the low-end priced boats in their class to those of the very greatest value overall? Well, it does so by listening to what its customers want in the boats they own and in those they hope to own. And by the continual investment in new technology, sophisticated design and state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment. All of this was started by Silverton Yacht’s founders John and Warren Luhrs in 1969. The company has since become recognized as the premier boat builder delivering unsurpassed performance, comfort, and value.
Silverton Yachts is committed to excellence through its progressive management in collaboration with owner-employees and a national dealer network. The company also subscribes to the idea that successful product lines will always evolve in response to changes in the market, boating styles and our customers’ wishes.
